Sports franchises are owned by incredibly rich people, and in that circle, there is a commendable hierarchy in wealth accumulation. In this article, we will be listing out a few of the richest NBA owners based on their current net worth.

Due to the various factors that determine the net worth of these figures, their rankings will fluctuate. We won’t be looking at family trusts, which removes the Jerry Buss family (current owner of Los Angeles Laker), the Dan DeVos family trust that owns Orlando Magic, and the James Dolan family trust, the owner of New York Knicks.

Robert Pera, Memphis Grizzlies (Net Worth: $18.6 Billion)

Popularly known as the founder of Ubiquiti Networks, a global telecommunications company, at the age of 43, Robert Pera is considered one of the world’s youngest billionaires. Pera went public with his company back in 2011, and not long after he bought Memphis Grizzlies for $377 million.

Memphis Grizzlies are ranked as one of the least valuable franchises in the NBA, yet they are still valued at $1.3 billion. Pera has more or less tripled his investment in the franchise in the last decade.

Daniel Gilbert, Cleveland Cavaliers (Net Worth: $40.4 Billion)

Daniel Gilbert currently owns a 70% stake in Quicken Loans, a mortgage lending company, which is said to be estimated at around 1.9 billion shares. In August 2020, the company was made public, which played a significant role in his net worth for 2021.

Gilbert bought the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2005 and overhauled the franchise starting from the front office down to the roster. The Cleveland Cavaliers were able to end their 52-year long wait for the championship in 2016.

Steve Ballmer, Los Angeles Clippers (Net Worth: $81.6 Billion)

Some might know Steve Ballmer as the Microsoft CEO that reign from 2000 to 2014 and employee No. 30 at the tech juggernaut, and recognize him as the 10th richest person in the world at the closing stage of 2020, and best au online casino sites also recognize the man.
