The choice of the best of each section is based on its popularity, quality and general reception of the title. If you want to investigate more about a specific genre you can go to the articles linked in each section, where we recommend several titles in each category.
Adventure
Adventure games are perfect for those who consider themselves casual gamers but want to bring the gaming experience a little further. They are often not overly difficult and require solutions
Implosion
You are the last hope of the human race after the earth has fallen for years. A strange way of life called XADA pretends to annihilate what is left of our species, but this time they will have to finish you first.
The graphics of the game are the best that you can find on Android and the fighting is simply impressive. Only the first level is free, then the fun costs $15.99, but at least you can try if it’s worth it.
The Walking Dead
Telltale Games is an independent American developer who has done the unthinkable: it has put back into fashion the genre of graphic adventure. The two seasons of The Walking Dead available on Android are two of the best adventure games released in years.
Do not let the title fool you, in order to enjoy this game you do not have to be a follower of the TV series or the original comic book. In fact, both the events of the game and the characters, have only to do with the thread of the series, although it is the same universe and every now and then there is some wink to the television program since both stories occur from Simultaneously.
Strategy
There is a variety of strategy games in the Play Store. Titles like Frozen Synapse, République or Plague Inc. have enjoyed great popularity among Android users, but none have been as revolutionary as one in particular.

If you like sports, but from the comfort of the armchair, surely your Android smartphone is the perfect ally.
Our recommendation: FIFA 16
FIFA 16 is an excellent choice for any fan of sports games. One of the most revolutionary functions of this delivery is the women’s league, which includes some slight changes in mechanics. The game is, in general, FIFA in its pure state.
Tower Defense
In TD games, the goal is to defend a space before the enemy launches their attacks. By its generally casual approach, this genre has gained an enormous following in Android, and some of them, like the one we recommend, have become authentic mass phenomena.
Defense Zone 2 HD
Plants vs Zombies is a great game but Defense Zone 2 is another level of seriousness. It operates in a fairly realistic environment in which the competition is quite fierce. The complete game costs € 3.19 but a Lite version is also available for testing.
A number of tower defense games available on Android is abysmal. Many of them usually follow a similar approach, with graphics that generally follow the same aesthetic. This is not the case with Anomaly 2, the sequel to the acclaimed Anomaly Warzone Earth. The graphic level and gameplay of this title are well above most of its competitors. Its price is $9.99, but at least you are guaranteed that you will not see in-app purchases within the game.
RPG
Many developers have seen on Android devices the perfect platform to relaunch classic role-playing games that have no place in next-generation desktop game consoles. But in addition, there are exclusive RPG games for Android that have nothing to envy to other platforms. These are our favorites.
Final Fantasy IX
The arrival of Final Fantasy IX on Android was one of the best news that Square Enix, its developer, had given in years. The only title in the PSX series that did not have a PC version until this year can finally be enjoyed on mobile devices. His genius is that he managed to collect most of the elements that had defined the series so far, such as the role of the roles, which had disappeared in the two previous installments.
Offline games
We do not always have internet connection on our Android. Simple examples: we are on vacation or on the plane. Fortunately, in the Google Play Store, we will find lots of them.

Fights
Fighting games have evolved a lot from arcade machines. On Android, there are a variety of titles of this type that will cause you to spend hours flying, and classic titles like Mortal Kombat or King of Fighters have their own version for Android.
Mortal Kombat X
Considered by many, despite its short life, as one of the best titles in the series, Mortal Kombat X brings all the features of the franchise taking full advantage of the virtues of portable platforms. Classic characters like Sub-Zero, Scorpion or Raiden are present in this game, along with new and exciting names.
Platforms (Endless Runner)
The dynamics behind an endless runner is very simple as well as addictive. It’s simple and fast concept has made it one of the favorite genres for users of mobile platforms.
Subway Surfers

Careers
Another of the genres that have best caught between the advanced players of Android. With Real Racing 3 among the favorites in this category, racing games have not only grown in popularity within the Android public, but also in graphics quality, placing in some of the games with greater requirements for users.
Asphalt 8: Airborne
This game is not only really entertaining, but presents good graphics and interesting circuits. In addition, it allows selecting between 47 different cars and more than 180 racing events.
Casual

Dumb Ways to Die
Dumb Ways to Die began as a notice announcement from the Australian transport company. Due to its success happened to become one of the funniest Android games. It seems simple, but it is not. It also has a moral.
Puzzle
Many puzzle games often bring a seemingly simple or even childlike approach. All one needs is to download one of them to realize that these titles require a deep mental effort on our part.
Lara Croft GO
Do not let the name of Lara Croft confuse you. The only thing that has this title in common with the games of Tomb Raider is its protagonist; The rest is completely different.
